I like it!

I would characterize the choice of Biden as another example of sound, responsible judgment from our nominee. David Brooks got to me. I think Biden is a great choice. What do you think?

me too.

only catch (and it takes a lot of steps to get to this) but in 8 years, we could end up with a vacuum like they have with cheney out of the running. this has not proved to be important for the republicans because of general disapproval about the bush administration. but you could imagine a world where it was a disadvantage to have no natural successor.

Then again, we might all be under water in 8 years...

I like it, too. But mostly because I like the guy. Some of Biden's decisions, however, have been less than stellar. Most notably his voting for the Iraq war. He also voted against the first Iraq war, which I find a rather puzzling combination that raises some doubts in my mind about how and why he is voting this or that way. Also, flying off to Georgia to stand by our friend Shaakashvili wins negative points in my book. That said, I almost always liked what he said in the debates during the primary. He is certainly a better choice than Bayh or Kaine.
